Actian Zen/PSQL v13 Workgroup Engine New Purchases

These licenses are for new Workgroup Engine purchases, which allow a MAXIMUM of 5 concurrent users in any database engine. Note that if you have an existing 1U or 3U system, then you can purchase additional 1U and 2U User Count Increases (UCI) to reach your maximum of 5 concurrent users.

Actian Zen/PSQL v13 Workgroup Engine Upgrades (LIMITED STOCK)

Actian Zen/PSQL v13 Enterprise Server Base Licenses

These licenses are for new PSQLv13 Server engine purchases of any platform. Officially supported operating systems include Windows 7 (and newer), and Windows Server 2008 R2 (and newer). Older operating systems (including Windows 2003, XP and Vista) have not been tested and may not be supported.

Actian Zen/PSQL v13 Enterprise Server User Count Increases

PSQL v13 licenses are NOT stackable. To increase your user count, you must purchase additional 'User Count Increase' licenses to add to your 'base' license to make larger (non-standard) user counts. This means that if you wish to obtain a 26 user license, you would purchase a 20U 'Base' license and a 6U User Count Increase to put them on the same server.

Actian Zen/PSQL v13 Enterprise Server Upgrades From PSQL v12

Actian offers discounted upgrade pricing for all users of Actian PSQL v12 database engines. Proof of ownership is required to obtain the upgrade price, and only BASE licenses can be upgraded (Not UCI's). You can upgrade to the SAME user count or to the NEXT USER COUNT HIGHER. The original product must be removed and destroyed.

Actian Zen/PSQL v13 Enterprise Server Upgrades From PSQL v11 or Older (LIMITED STOCK)

Actian offered a special upgrade promotion from PSQL v11 in the past. These items are no longer available from Actian, but we did stock up on some of these items for our customers, and we still have a few of them in stock. Once these run out, users of PSQL v11 or older will need to purchase NEW Zen/PSQL v13 licenses or upgrade to PSQL v12 first, depending on which option is less expensive.

Actian Zen/PSQL v13 Enterprise Server Active-Passive Cluster Licenses

These licenses are for new PSQL v13 Server engine purchases for use on an Active-Passive Cluster. These items provide a special type of license key that can be installed on TWO servers at the same time, but actively in use on one server only.

Actian Zen/PSQL v13 Enterprise Server Insurance

Actian PSQL Server Insurance is a special 7-day temporary license key that can be used to re-activate a failed database engine license in the event of a complete failure of the primary server. This buys you the time to contact Actian to have your Activation License deactivated on the old server, so that you can properly enable it on the new server. These licenses can be used up to three times, after which you must purchase another PSQL Insurance license.

Actian Zen/PSQL v13 Standalone Server Engines

These licenses are single-user, standalone licenses of the PSQL v13 Server Engine, which includes the Backup Agent and VSS Writer support. This license is designed for Developer use on Windows, Linux, or Mac environments, or for single-user systems which can benefit from the added security, speed and memory utilization of a true 64-bit Server Engine. IMPORTANT NOTE: Unlike the full server licenses above, these base licenses are NOT expandable with User Count Increases, and this may NOT be used to add another user to an existing Server Engine license!

Actian Zen Cloud (Vx) Server 13 Engine Base Licenses

These licenses are for new server purchases. You can have ONE base license on each server. Licenses will work on any platform (Windows, Linux, Mac) and bit level (32-bit or 64-bit). Officially supported operating systems include Windows 7 (and newer), and Windows Server 2008 R2 (and newer). Older operating systems (including Windows XP and Vista) have not been tested and may not be supported.

Actian Zen Cloud (Vx) Server 13 Data Size Increases

Actian Zen Cloud Server (formerly PSQL Vx Server) 13 base licenses come with a set data size allowance. To increase your Data Size, you can either purchase an upgrade to a larger size, or you can purchase additional 'Data Size Increase' (DSI) licenses to add to your 'base' license to use larger databases. If you only need a data size increase for a short time (until you can purge or archive data), then you may benefit from a temporary (60-day) increase instead. Confused? Actian Zen Cloud (Vx) Server 13 Size Upgrades

If you have an existing license of Actian PSQL Vx Server 13 and you need to move to a larger license, you can increase your data size with the Increases (above), or you can upgrade the license to a larger size. Proof of ownership is required to obtain the upgrade price. These licenses are applied on top of your current size to attain the new size.

Actian Zen Cloud (Vx) Server 13 Sidegrades From PSQL v13

Users of PSQL v13 database engines can switch to Actian Zen Cloud Server 13 (i.e. a 'sidegrade') at a discounted price, but only within certain defined sizes, as shown here. Proof of ownership is required to obtain the upgrade price. The original product must be removed and destroyed.

Several methods can be used for shipping, but the most common are USPS Priority/Ground ($10) and Next Day Air ($40). International shipping can be considerably higher.
