This reply was created from a merged topic originally titledMULTIMIX 8 USB 2.0 OSx MAVERICKS - How can i make it work?I can't use my MULTIMIX 8 USB 2.0 with OSx MAVERICKS.It looks that there isn't a driver yet. Is there anyway i can still use it?any way around that driver problem?please, give me a hand. Daniel, I was told by a tech support person at Alesis that they would not be updating the drivers for the Multimix. That was by phone. I also tried Santi's hack and was successful getting it to work, but chose not to go back to Multimix as my main mixer. I respect your decision to stay with Mountain Lion, but I had to update to Mavericks, as I use my computer for tasks other than recording and I also teach at universities that require computers to be updated. You are getting work done on your system and that's great.

But Alesis has failed in this particular resolve and, as I said earlier, I heard it directly from a tech support person at Alesis that they were not going to update. Sounded pretty factual to me. I hope I'm wrong. I want to say that I am not refusing to buy Alesis products. I just bought the new iO Dock II and it works fine (class compliance is the key here).

If I sounded like I have the facts, I apologize. I should have said that my statement was my take on it. I appeared to have rustled someone's feathers and that wasn't my intent. But my observations are as follows:1. This question of whether or not Alesis will update these products to Mavericks has been posted for six months with no results of an update.2. I heard first hand from a tech support at Alesis that the MultiMix that I own would not be updated to Mavericks, confirming my decision that it was right for me to move on.3.

Mavericks has speed advantages. Especially with Logic.4. You guys seem to be getting nowhere with finding out when the update will occur.5.

If you teach certain music tech courses at Universities (which I do), it might not be possible to stay in Mountain Lion. Technology moves forward, as we all know. So, I'm just stating what I have observed. And point number 2 is a fact, not an opinion. So, you guys decide. Meanwhile I hope you are musically productive in the meantime without the use of your interfaces or on Mountain Lion (which is doable).I just chose to give it up. Thank God I was able to.Oh, and one more point—I had to upgrade to an iPad 4 instead of an iPad Air because Alesis did not have the sense to update the iO Dock to include the iPad AIr. But I am still happy with my purchases on both the Apple and Alesis side.

Well well folks I got a deal breaker right here; I just sold my ALESIS IO DOCK 1 - on Craigslist in the hopes of upgrading to the IO dock version 2.0 (then upon research online found out all these issues AFTER buying my 128 GB IPAD AIR from AT&T thinking I'm gonna rocking and rolling cause the new will work with my AIR NOT!!! Then I tried to figure out does it do sysex exclusive midi and not sure if it does and them the non air thing just blew my my mind and I checked the NAMN 2014 videos on line and found the FOCUSRITE ITRACK DOCK FOR IPAD AIR WITH THE LEGENDARY FOUCUSRITE MIC PREAMPS INSTALLED AND THE THING LQQKS BEASTLY AND IM WAITING TIL JUNE WHEN THIS THING COMES OUT IT WILL MAKE THE IO DOCK A DISNEY TOY MEMORY FOR ME AND YES I AM THE OWNER OF THE ALESIS MULTIMIX USB 2.0 mixer ALESIS BETTER GET THIER ACT TOGETHER OR THEY WILL TOAST LIKE FLASH ON AN IPHONE!!! Hi all. Also, I sent a mail to Alesis support, and i have a doubt on their desire to making update.Their answer:-With regards to your previous message, as you may not be aware this products is currently not officially supported on Apples newest OS, Mavericks. For the best performance, and for any critical use, we strongly recommend using your Alesis product on a supported computer system. You can view each product’s system requirements on its dedicated product page at.Currently we haven’t made any driver release announcements for these products.

I tried to do it. But unfortunately, it doesn't work.Perhaps i missed something.About the scripts, i reinit the device Alesis.

Ok.But i've some doubt about the manner to launching them.I found exactly the same.kext file like you, so i may say the device is there. But i don't understand what you say about these scripts on these files and the manner to use these.I agree a little with Joseph Simao. Just make a small resume would be useful.Joseph Simao, don't put the USB plug in your ass, that will not work. Just put this one in the Alesis mixer.:DWe cannot blame Cyx SenZe about his video. Upgrading a device driver often isn't trivial.Apple (or Microsoft) is constantly improving its operating system, integrating it with new software ideas and hardware capabilities. Apple does an excellent job of maintaining backward compatibility, but it can't let the past constrain its future in a highly competitive business.

Overtime, Apple moved from the 6502 to the 68xxx to the Power PC and to the x86, with a rumored move to ARM in the foreseeable future. Each of those platform changes obsoleted any binary code from the previous generation. 'Rosetta' provided a usable software emulator for some of those transitions, but in general, Intel binary code won't run on an ARM processor, so it will at least have to be recompiled, and then fully retested on the new platform.Just retesting can be a nightmare, if the developers have moved on to other projects and their legacy expertise has been lost.My request to Alesis is: if the upgrade isn't too complex and the re-development costs aren't too high, consider charging for it. The MultiMix8 USB 2.0 and MultiMix16 USB 2.0 deserve a second chance. Not to support old/obsolete gear is one side (I do understand this), other side is the terrible communication from Alesis to their customers. Hi AllI've mentioned this prior in the thread but to provide a heads-up to others - I bought the Focusrite 18i20 for Mavericks compatibility after the Alesis issues. The sound quality is excellent, its interface does make it more complicated that the Alesis (occasional reboots) but somewhat standard for interfaces.

It is written mostly in Tcl/Tk using the BLT and Incr Tcl libraries. SpecTk uses SpecTcl as a server for the spectrum data, therefore SpecTcl has to be configured as a server. Bazincurrent release: version 1.3 (March 2010)This program displays and manupulates spectra accumulated in SpecTcl. Install SpecTk install SpecTka displayer for SpecTclby D.

Warning however, the USB 2.0 versions are not 100% compatible with Mavericks either. I have been back and forth with Focusrite tech support on this and they acknowledge and say that it is an Apple driver issue. The result is that I can't record in 96Khz. For many this won't be an issue and hopefully it will eventually get resolved but it would have been nice to know this before purchasing to finish my 96Khz projects. Good luck all!
