So as Im deciding on which to buy the guy at bestbuy suggest I buy the 19, and think about it, seeing as I'd have 14 days to exchange for the 21'. Im sitting here now debating do I get the 21'? Any thoughts? I really like the monitor but I imagine I'd like the 21' even more.

I also use the component in on my display quite a bit since I have an HD cable box here with the computer, watching TV on it at night is wonderful.My computer is hooked to the DVI, and when I have a second rig in here to work on or whatever, I hook it to the VGA inputs and swap between rigs with the touch of a button.Not to mention the Picture in Picture feature is awesome, I sometimes surf and read the web while I have the tv on in the little window, very nice feature. Old thread, but I wanted to chime in on it. I've owned this panel for a little over a month now. For some reason, I get no signal on the DVI input at any point while my system is booting. It goes straight to power save mode. Once Windows has fully booted and the drivers have been loaded for my X800XL AGP card, then the DVI port will get a signal and I can switch between inputs normally I've contacted Gateway and ATI tech support regarding this issue and neither is accepting responsibility for the problem. They're both pointing fingers at each other instead of giving me a solution. ATI claims that the monitor, since it's a widescreen format, is not running a standard resolution that the DVI port can output without the Catalyst drivers being installed first.
Gateway says the screen is operating normally. The end result is that I can't see my BIOS, POST, or anything else until Windows is fully booted. Forget about using a boot disk or accessing my BIOS unless I connect a VGA cable. In VGA mode, I don't have any of these issues.
Just on the DVI port. Personally, I think it's a problem with the video card and the guys at ATI are a bunch of arrogant pricks that won't fess up to issues like this. I've been an ATI customer for my last 4 graphics cards and 3 TV tuner cards and I don't think I'll buy another for a while despite their current perfoamance and image quality. Bottom line is their junk doesn't work with my monitor.Luckily, the VGA connection is very good on this monitor and I can't see any difference in quality between DVI and VGA on this thing. I'm not really missing anything by not using DVI right now on this monitor. I'll be ticked if this hasn't been resolved by the time Vista ships and requires me to use the DVI input for HDCP compliance on their fancy-schamncy new GUI. That'll mean I'll never see my BIOS again unless I get a new video card by then that properly supports this display.

Had the card for well over a year. I don't want to go buy a new card only to find out the same thing happens with that one, too.
I'm content with the performance of the card for everything else, so I don't want to spend a several hundred dollars. If I do it, I'll go PCIe this time around, but to do that, I'll need to upgrade mobo, CPU, RAM, and possibly PSU and still not know if it's going to fix the display issue while booting.
That's why I'm trying to find other users that have this monitor to see if they've had similar experiences with it. I haven't found many places on the Internets where people are talking about this monitor.
There are virtually no reviews for it anywhere. I've heard some people having similar issues with some of the Dell widescreen panels, usually on ATI video cards, but I've heard complaints about them not working on Nvidia cards, too.
